I saw this sweet little shop featured on Etsy’s front page while I was surfing Etsy rather than working on my database manual (naughty) and I think it is rather special.
LeiLiLaLoo is the Etsy shop of Dana Komjaty, an Amsterdam based designer and mother of a 2 year old, who enjoys creating everything she can, from hand-painted ribbon, house pillows, paintings, fabric, hand-painted banners, to woodblock and beeswax art. She went to the Royal Academy for the Arts in her 20’s and emerged with a degree in pattern design and illustration. She worked as a freelance pattern designer until the birth of her son. Now she creates whimsical designs for her Etsy shop. Take a look….

House pillow $45, Lavendar pillows $10, hand-printed ribbons $10, City under Clouds $22, hand-painted Fabric $18, and more House pillows $45.
All her creations are very unique, and have a nice mix of nubby linen, bright fabrics, and fanciful designs. They are quite beautiful (and very reasonably priced).
If you like Dana’s art, you can see her artwork and read more about her on her website leililaloo.com or on her blog.

I just received this book as a gift from a new friend, and I adore it! There are many exciting printing projects with complete directions on how to tackle each one. The author Lena Corwin covers silkscreening, stenciling, block stamping, and photo emulsion, on many cool formats like towels, t-shirts, aprons, cushions and furniture. I basically want to try to make most of the things in this cool book!
You can get it from your local bookstore, your library, Powell’s, or Amazon. Definitely worth buying!
Thank you A.!

I thought you should see this little Etsy shop full of sweet crafts…
Tamar has been a Creative Director and fashion Stylist, and has turned her creative eye to designing some very pretty things for her line Nest Pretty Things.
She has purses, fairytale crowns, dreamcatchers, pins, magnets and pouches.
Nothing costs too much, and anything from here would make a really pretty gift.

Today I wanted to tell you about a fabulous goody I bought from Etsy. I was lusting after it for a while and finally I got one to try. It is a car litter bag by Allyson Hill. I got the one in Zinnia.
They are $19 and come with a plastic liner, and adjustable strap and a button. You can attach it to the back of your seat or hang it from the stick shift. I think it is an ingenious design and I am excited that she is doing so well with them. She also sells a roll of bags to use as liners, or you use other plastic bags that you want to recycle.

Allyson is a crafty lady from Upstate NY who graduated from RIT with a major in woodworking and furniture design. She now runs her shop, goes to craft fairs and is the mom of a cute 5 year old boy- see her blog here.
Keep checking bag in her shop to see what fabrics she will be using next!
